Flexicon has launched a polyurethane coated flexible conduit range for applications requiring cable protection in low temperature environments of down to – 40oC.
Suitable for applications such as refrigeration plants or cold rooms, LTPPU blue is a liquid tight conduit range with an IP rating of IP68 or IP69k. Other features include high abrasion resistance and a high fatigue life.
The flexible conduit has a smooth wipe clean cover that does not wrinkle when bent, and is resistant to oils and greases. It is also halogen free and is self extinguishing to UL94 V0.
Ian Gibson, technical director for Flexicon said, “Offering a blue polyurethane coated flexible conduit that can withstand extremely low temperatures ensures that our customers have even more choice when trying to match the cable protection needed for the hazards faced.
As the only British manufacturer of polyurethane coated conduit, we have seen its benefits over PVC coated conduits for certain applications.”
LTPPU Blue is available in a range of diameters from 10mm to 63mm with a number of different compression fittings depending on the termination required. This conduit can be used with Flexicon’s wide range of liquid tight fittings, which are available in metric, PG and NPT thread variants. This conduit is also compatible with the new range of EXD fittings for hazardous areas.
With the launch of this new range Flexicon now offer 10 liquid tight ranges and 48 different conduit systems, offering designers and installers the widest choice.
