Domus Ventilation Appoints National Specification Sales Manager

John TilburnDomus Ventilation, part of the Polypipe group, has further expanded its specification team with the appointment of John Tilburn as Specification Sales Manager. John will be focussed on providing specification support and driving sales in the residential sector across North London, Kent and Sussex.

John brings a wealth of invaluable experience with him to Domus Ventilation, having spent over 20 years in the HVAC sector, including working on large design projects. Ventilation has been at the heart of his career, with John having started at Xpelair in specification sales, followed by roles at Nuaire, Johnson & Starley and Verplas where he developed extensive knowledge of ventilation ducting.

As well as experience, John also brings enthusiasm: “And now, here we are at Domus Ventilation which is another chapter and one which I will pursue with all my passion for this sector. I see the main challenges as having to gain specifications for the MVHR and MEV units but I love a challenge and I will always give it my all. I will be focusing all my efforts on trying to gain a market share for Domus Ventilation as I see them as a major force going forward in not just ducting but the MVHR and MEV systems which stand up to all other manufacturers.”

A true family man, John loves spending as much time as possible with his family. He also likes travelling, golf, music and football, regularly attending Bradford City football matches. John is also passionate about his local community and dreams of one day working on a project to help build new accommodation for the homeless in Bedfordshire.

This latest appointment is part of Domus Ventilation’s well structured strategy to return to the specification sector following the launch of a range of high performance mechanical ventilation systems. These include the HRXE Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) unit and the highly energy-efficient CMX-MULTI Mechanical Extract Ventilation (MEV) units, which boast the best Specific Fan Power (SFP) on the market. Supporting the products and specification team are a range of tools, including a Specification Guide, a CIBSE CPD accredited course on “Residential Ventilation Principles and Best Practice”, plus free technical and system drawing services.

Domus Ventilation has a well-deserved reputation for quality, supported by excellent technical support, from a market leading manufacturer and designer. It is well placed to offer immediate, practical solutions to Building Regulations Parts F & L.
