TRILUX Chosen As The Official Lighting Partner For Porsche Works Team For The Second Year

TRILUX PorscheAnd they are off! The new season of the FIA World Endurance Championship started at Silverstone on 16th April 2017. Once again TRILUX lighting were selected as the official lighting partner for the Porsche Works team in the LMP1 Class.

TRILUX have been tasked with lighting various areas around the race track with custom designed lighting systems. The new lighting ranges from high performance indoor and outdoor luminaires for the pit lanes and garages to an intelligent lighting management system for the driver's physio and recovery rooms.

After a successful cooperation in 2016 Porsche and TRILUX have extended their partnership for 2017. This year will see an extensive programme of lighting upgrades along the race track as well as in the offices and workshops at Weissach, with most systems being refurbished during the coming season. New installations for the Le Mans garages, workshops, pit, physio and recovery rooms are also planned.

porsche triluxNot only did Porsche win the title of Constructors’ World Champion in 2016, but the Porsche drivers Neel Jani (CH), Romain Dumas (FR) and Marc Lieb (DE) all won the highly prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans Race and the Driver’s World Championship. The Porsche 919 Hybrid has been widely reworked for the 2017 championship and the newly assembled line-up of the Porsche LMP1 works drivers are ready for action. Reigning world champion Neel Jani (CH) has the number 1 on the car he shares with Nick Tandy (GB) and Porsche newcomer André Lotterer (DE). The number 2 sister car belongs to the two New Zealanders, Earl Bamber and Brendon Hartley, together with Timo Bernhard (DE).
