New Standard for Emergency Lighting BS EN 1838:2013

BS EN 1838:2013 is a new European Standard that specifies the luminous requirements for emergency escape lighting and standby lighting systems installed in premises or locations where such systems are required. It is principally applicable to locations where the public or workers have access.

This revision looks into the implications of the changes to lighting requirements particularly including the removal of the UK A deviations and the changes to requirements for the illumination of exit signs, first aid boxes, fire alarm panels and call points.
