The ElectricSafe Register exhibited at the UK’s biggest self - build and renovating event, the National Home Building and Renovating Show on 21-24 March 2013.
Exhibiting on the Trustmark pavilion, ElectricSafe braved the blizzards to bring the register’s message to consumers. As well as exhibiting at the show, ElectricSafe presented a seminar on the “Big Ideas” Stage highlighting the importance of using ElectricSafe electricians.
ElectricSafe is a register of competent electricians across England and Wales. It is the first of its kind and offers a singular, recognisable brand for householders to use. There is an online search facility at www.electricsaferegister.co.uk so householders can search for competent, registered electricians in their area.
All electricians who are members of Competent Person Schemes can sign up to ElectricSafe free of charge. The aim of the register is to reduce any confusion consumers might have about which competent, registered electrician to choose by providing one easy to use register of members from across the governing bodies.
Martin Bruno, Chief Executive of ElectricSafe, said: “We couldn’t be more delighted with the success of the show and the positive feedback we received from visitors. We demonstrated that the register exists to cut through industry jargon such as ‘Competent Person’ and provide one key phrase that all consumers recognise; ElectricSafe. Exhibiting at shows like this is a great way of bringing the message directly to householders who need to be made aware of the dangers of using unregistered electricians.”
ElectricSafe also recently appeared on the radio promoting the register to listeners. Technical Director Frank Bertie was interviewed on Mansfield 103.2 on 19 March, raising key issues of electrical safety to listeners and promoting the ElectricSafe website search facility.
