Wieland Expands its Popular gesis® FLEX Range

Wieland gesisFlexWieland Electric has added a series of new modules and functions to its popular gesis® FLEX room automation system. In addition, the KNX basic modules have been expanded with regard to their basic functions.

Fan coil KNX actuators for room climate applications are now available as part of the gesis® FLEX range. The existing fan coil basic module already controls a 3-speed fan and a heating/cooling valve and can now be supplemented with an expansion module. With this, it is possible to control an additional valve and auxiliary heating and incorporate a binary input and temperature sensor.

Blind automation using a standard motor interface (SMI) is now possible with the addition of gesis® FLEX KNX – SMI gateway, which is now part of the range. The gateway connects the SMI subbus system with the KNX for building automation and the Gateway 8 SMI can also control blind actuators from different manufacturers. Furthermore, semiconductor outputs for AC or DC loads have been developed for the control of electro-thermal valves. These expansion modules, in addition to new versions of the AC and DC blind modules, are available now with fused inputs and outputs.

The compact gesis® FLEX system for decentralized room automation is based on KNX. The modularity and connectivity of the system enables flexible and future-oriented installations.
