Xpelair Launch CPD Training Programme For Residential Homes

Xpelair Ventilation Solutions has introduced a CPD training programme to help residential installers develop a better understanding of the changing ventilation requirements of the building industry.

‘Residential Ventilation Systems’ provides an overview of legislation within the industry that governs ventilation rates and the need for efficient ventilation, along with the important role that it plays in the health and comfort of homeowners.

The CPD course explores the problems that can occur in inadequately ventilated homes, including the growth of mould, poor indoor air quality (IAQ) and increased condensation, along with an overview of the solutions available to combat these issues.

As the ventilation industry continually seeks to reduce carbon emissions, the need for more efficient sources of ventilation without compromising IAQ becomes ever greater. The CPD course looks at how whole house systems are set to become the future of the industry, offering installers a great opportunity to update their skills and familiarise themselves with technological advances within the industry.

Ian Williams, Head of Training at Xpelair, comments: “The CPD course is another way Xpelair is helping installers develop their knowledge of ongoing change within the ventilation industry. It is imperative for installers in the residential sector to understand the important role ventilation plays in ensuring a home conforms to the changes within the building regulations – especially when it comes to energy efficiency.

“By providing installers with the right information, it enables them to select the appropriate ventilation system for their projects. Not only does this help protect the fabric of a property by preventing condensation and mould growth, but it also ensures installers have the skills necessary for a long future in the industry, as ventilation continually adapts to keep up with carbon targets.”
