euroLED looks forward to it's 10th birthday, following this year's success

The ninth annual euroLED exhibition, gala dinner and conference attracted more visitors than ever before. The Birmingham Science Park two-day event for the LED and solid state lighting industry was held at the NEC last week and attracted well over 2,000 attendees from across the UK and continental Europe.

95 companies showcased their latest innovations at the exhibition, which was sponsored by Philips, Arrow Electronics and PurEcoLED. Underwriters Laboratories (UL) sponsored the technical conference, which brought in keynote speakers from across Europe. The gala dinner was sponsored by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), and Total Lighting was the euroLED 2012 media partner. euroLED is widely recognised as Europe’s leading showcase event for the lighting industry.

Michelle Cleaver, Birmingham Science Park’s Head of euroLED said: “With a record number of visitors to euroLED 2012, we could not be more excited about the show’s potential for next year – our 10th birthday.

“To build up the momentum and fuel further debate about the unprecedented growth in the LED lighting sector, we will be holding kicker events over the next 12 months at Birmingham Science Park, with fantastic speakers who are at the forefront of industry innovations. These events will also enable delegates to pay a visit to our acclaimed Optical Performance Centre, which is working with some of the biggest names in LED on research, testing and accreditation, as well as supporting highly innovative start-up businesses.”
