vphase logoVPhase, a simple device which cuts household electricity costs by approximately 10% p.a. has been featured on BBC’s DIY: SOS The Big Build. The hour long programme saw the team transform an ex-council house in South Wales, Brynmawr into an eco-friendly family home by installing energy efficient technologies such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels and VPhase voltage optimisation.
The low-cost VPhase unit uses voltage optimisation technology to reduce and regulate the incoming voltage to homes, maintaining it at a stable level, typically 220V in the UK. Independently verified trial results have demonstrated savings on electricity bills of around 10%. The carbon savings have been calculated to be at least 4 tonnes over the 25+ year life of the product – the equivalent of driving roughly 22,000km in an average size family car.

VPhase Marketing Manager, Matt Cody comments “Voltage optimisation is not a new technology; it’s been used in commercial settings for many years saving big name companies millions of pounds. VPhase now brings this technology into the home, making real energy and cash savings possible for households throughout the UK.”

“We’re delighted to have been featured on BBC One’s DIY: SOS programme as it clearly demonstrates that VPhase is an energy saving green product that is suitable for everybody and that it can work alongside other energy efficient technologies in the home. With significant reductions in CO2 emissions with every installation and homeowners saving money off their electricity bills, this simple device is increasingly being recognised as the best and most effective green investment for the home. Once installed it requires no maintenance or change in lifestyle. It’s simply a matter of fit, forget and save money instantly.  ”

The unit should cost no more than £250 installed when fitted at the same time as a consumer unit, and can be quickly and easily fitted by a qualified electrician. The VPhase has a 5 year warranty and with payback periods typically less than this, represents a risk free green investment.
