Oundle School, near Peterborough, is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school. Andromeda have supplied an integrated KNX system for the HVAC Plant control, lighting control, natural ventilation window control and under floor heating control.
Technology Used: A KNX system with Tridium has been used for the HVAC plant control, lighting control, natural ventilation window control and underfloor heating control. Here we have integrated all of the building control functions on to one common platform to allow energy efficient environmental control utilising natural passive ventilation along with forced mechanical ventilation and automatic damper control. Air quality sensors along with room temperature controllers are used within the occupied spaces to give local setpoint control and manual control. The control system is hosted on the site-wide IP network with web graphics available at any network connected PC using a simple web browser. Remote monitoring and control is also available over the internet.
Carbon Profile: Natural ventilation / passive cooling, intelligent HVAC plant control, daylight linked constant light control, presence detection, time scheduling of loads and intelligent lighting control with dimming.
