schroff atex enclosureNew from enclosure specialist Schroff is the ZonEX range of stainless-steel wall-mount enclosures, which are ATEX certified for housing electronic or electrical equipment in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations.

Manufactured by Hoffman, one of Schroff’s sister companies within the Pentair Technical Products Group, the new enclosures are particularly suitable for terminal and junction applications and can be supplied with factory-fitted terminal blocks if required.

As well as featuring lift-off door hinges for ease of access, the enclosures can be specified with either one or three gland plates, depending on the requirements of each individual application.

The ZonEX enclosures are fabricated from Type 316 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance, while high-temperature silicone sealing gaskets are used on the doors and gland plates.

Available in a wide range of sizes from 260 x 260 x 160mm to 762 x 508 x 205mm, the enclosures are supplied with side-mount hanging brackets as standard, and optional accessories include DIN rails, panels, breather drains, stopping plugs and terminal blocks.
