The United Nations Of ELLIS

United Nations of EllisDistributors from 20 different countries descended on the North Yorkshire village of Rillington this week for cable cleat manufacturer, Ellis’ triennial Distributor Conference.

The company, which exports its world renowned electrical safety products around the world, welcomed guests from Australia, Oman, Brazil, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Canada, Japan, Singapore, UAE, Turkey, Finland, Saudi Arabia, USA, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Uruguay and, of course, England and Scotland.

Richard Shaw, managing director of Ellis, said: “The two day conference features a programme of activity that allows us to showcase everything from new products to company developments and marketing plans; and gives every distributor an opportunity to do the same.”

“The main benefit though comes from having two full days during which time the incredibly diverse and wonderfully widespread Ellis family is together. New distributors get to appreciate just what they are part of; while everyone gets to renew old acquaintances, make new ones, share ideas, talk about successes and where improvements can be made. And they get to do it all in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.”

“The recurring theme as we said our goodbyes was how much everyone was looking forward to the 2020 event.”

Ellis currently has a global network of distributors, a business development manager for Latin America, and a full-time export team in the UK. This network ensures it has local, specialised representation in all of its key export markets, and has helped the company become firmly established as the cable cleat industry’s global leader and market expert.
