AICO Exhibits Award Ainning AudioLINK CO Alarms At Gas Safety Management Conference

Aico CO AppAico is pleased to be exhibiting its range of Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarms, incorporating its multiple award winning AudioLINK data extraction technology, at this year’s AGSM Gas Safety Management Conference (Hinckley Island Hotel, Hinckley, Leicestershire, 12th - 13th April).

Held by the Association of Gas Safety Managers (AGSM), the conference is designed to provide a voice for gas safety in the social housing and facilities management sectors, helping raise standards and establish best practice.

Aico staff will be on hand at the conference to not only demonstrate both mains powered and Lithium battery products but to also advise on asset management matters and the long term financial benefits of installing quality CO detection equipment, especially in relation to reducing ongoing maintenance costs.

There will be an opportunity to try out AudioLINK – the revolutionary alarm data extraction technology installed in all Aico CO alarms. AudioLINK was launched last year and has received many industry accolades, including a shortlisting for the AGSM Gas Safety Awards and winning the Gas Industry Innovation category at the AGSM Supplier Excellence Awards.

AudioLINK allows for invaluable real time data to be extracted via the Alarm’s sounder - all that is required is an AudioLINK enabled Aico Alarm, a tablet or smartphone and the free AudioLINK App which converts the data into an Alarm Status Report.  The AudioLINK App is available on Android, iOS (iPhones and iPads) and Windows devices.

The AudioLINK Alarm Status Report, which is simple to review and store, is created for the life of the Alarm and is colour coded to identify the urgency of any issue. The Report displays useful information about the Alarm, such as battery life, alarm sensor status, number of times tested and removed; and detection levels of CO, including background CO, with details of when it occurred - all in a simple format. As the information is generated in real time, should there be an issue it can be dealt with there and then.

Data is stored for the life of the Alarm and can be extracted as many times as required, enabling historic information to be retained. As such, AudioLINK is proving extremely popular with landlords as it improves the level of protection tenants will receive whilst being more time, budget and resource efficient. It can be used as part of the annual Gas Safety Checks (CP12) and property checks prior to changing over to new tenants (recently enshrined in law for private landlords for the first time).  It provides a quick and simple way to test and record the Alarm is working prior to tenants moving in.

AudioLINK has been installed as standard into all of Aico’s CO Alarms, including the Ei208 Lithium battery powered range and Ei261 and Ei262 mains powered alarms.  The alarms benefit from a proven CO sensor which is pre-calibrated and tested in CO gas to ensure accuracy.

Aico CO alarms now have a 10 year life – making them even better value for money.
