Verbatim LED Lamp is Which? ‘Best Buy’

Verbatim LED LampVerbatim, a pioneer in data storage and a rising star in LED lighting, has received the top score from the consumer champion, Which?, in their latest light bulb test and has been awarded as a Best Buy.

“Very durable and efficient, and as bright as it claims to be,” says Which?

The Which? 2014 Light Bulb test assessed brightness, light quality, energy efficiency, durability and power factor (how closely a bulb meets its power consumption claim). The test included compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), halogens and LED lamps widely available to British customers. LEDs consistently outperformed other types of bulb in the latest tests, thanks to their instant brightness, durability and impressive energy efficiency.

Reviewing Verbatim’s 9.5W Classic A LED lamp, the Which? team commented: “Very durable and efficient, and as bright as it claims to be – it’s the best bulb we’ve tested”. With actual brightness of 894 lumens from a claimed performance of 860 lumens, the product is one of the brightest available in the market and the best all round performer.

Scoring top marks for efficiency, durability and light output, Verbatim’s 9.5W Classic A LED lamp has a claimed life expectancy of 30,000 hours – that’s around 30 years if used for a couple of hours a day. It is supplied with a B22 (bayonet) or E27 (screw) fitting.

“Verbatim is honoured to be recognised as a producer of the most reliable and best LED lamps by Which?. Being endorsed after such rigorous, independent testing illustrates our commitment to creating a world of energy-saving lighting by encouraging satisfied consumers to fully embrace LED technology,” commented Mats Nordin, LED Sales Manager – North Europe, Verbatim.

The Verbatim LED lamp tested by Which? is available from several major independent online retailers, electrical wholesalers and LED lighting distributors in the UK.
