Two Finalists For Concord At The FX Awards

Concord Glace LuminaireConcord is delighted that its award-winning Glace luminaire and Beacon Minor spotlight were both finalists in the Lighting Product category at this year’s FX International Interior Design Awards.

The prestigious awards, organised by FX Magazine, summon design talent from around the world to celebrate exceptional interior products and projects. Now in its 15th year, the glamorous award ceremony was held at Grosvenor House Hotel, London on 27 November 2013.

“We are delighted that two of our products were finalists at the prestigious FX awards,” explains David Neale, Marketing Manager UK Fixtures at Havells Sylvania. “The Concord Glace has had an extremely fruitful year and we could not be happier that the industry has recognised the products technological benefits and design prowess. The success of Beacon Minor follows on from the huge accomplishments the Beacon Muse achieved in 2012. The FX Awards mark the end to a year of great achievements at Havells Sylvania.”

Described by the FX Judges as ‘an exceptional piece of engineering,’ Concord Glace has moved from strength to strength throughout 2013. Glace kicked off the year with a winning start by picking up a Lighting Design Award in March. The super-slim architectural luminaire was then recognised as Highly Commended in the Luminaire of the Year category at the recent Lux Awards. The Glace has been designed to redefine the current genre of traditional ambient-style bulkhead fittings. Utilising the latest LED technology, the superior Glace is an ultra-modern, minimalistic luminaire which eliminates black spots and provides an even spread of light. Available in wall, ceiling mounted and pendant versions, the Concord Glace is ideal for circulation spaces including corridors, stairwells, high-end reception areas and foyers.

Beacon Minor SpotlightAs another finalist in the lighting product category, Concord’s Beacon Minor was described by the judges as a “really useful LED track spot”. Beacon Minor is not only the first mains voltage LED spotlight available on the market, but also provides end-users with a much sought after energy-saving solution, creating cost reductions whilst delivering a good light output.
