Verbatim LED lamp is Which? magazine ‘Best Buy’

Verbatim Classic A LEDVerbatim, a pioneer in data storage and a rising star in LED lighting, has been proven to be among the most reliable and highest performing light bulbs, according to the UK’s largest survey of retrofit light bulbs.

The Which? 2013 Light Bulb Survey is the most in-depth survey of its kind in the UK testing brightness, energy efficiency and durability. The survey included compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), halogens and LED lamps.

55 light bulbs widely available to British customers were tested. LEDs consistently out-performed other types of bulb in the latest tests, thanks to their instant brightness, durability and impressive energy efficiency.

Verbatim’s 10W Classic A LED scored 91%. With actual brightness of 906 lumens from a claimed performance of 820 lumens, the product was described as a “good all round performer”.

The Which? team commented: “One of the brightest LEDs on the market, this Verbatim bulb is actually brighter than it says on the box. Scoring top marks for efficiency and durability, it has a claimed life expectancy of 30,000 hours – that’s around 30 years if used for a couple of hours a day.”

Additionally, Verbatim’s 3.8W Candlelight Classic B and 8.5W Classic A gained excellent rankings, each with a score of 84%.

“Verbatim is honoured to be recognised as a producer of the most reliable and best LED lamps by Which? magazine. Being endorsed after such rigorous, independent testing illustrates our commitment to creating a world of energy-saving lighting by encouraging satisfied consumers to fully embrace LED technology,” commented Jeanine Chrobak, Business Development Manager LED EUMEA, Verbatim.
