Riello UPS Multi Sentry Achieves Government Standard in Energy Efficiency

Uninterruptible Power Supply systems manufactured by Riello UPS could now save buyers thousands of pounds in upfront costs after qualifying for Government energy efficiency standards.

The Riello UPS Multi Sentry range between 30 and 100 kVA has been listed on the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) Energy Technology List (ETL) which encourages businesses to invest in approved energy saving technologies.

By investing in environmentally friendly systems such as the Multi Sentry UPS, businesses can claim tax relief of over £26,000 from the government’s Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme set up by the Carbon Trust to encourage the reduction of carbon emissions; effectively writing off some of the costs of their UPS investment.

Jason Yates, Technical Services Manager of Riello UPS Ltd said: “Products undergo rigorous energy efficiency testing before being included on the list, so the qualification is testament to our team’s hard work and echoes our committment to being Europe’s most environmentally friendly power protection company.

“The inclusion of our Multi Sentry range on the list represents a significant advantage over competitiors by giving buyers the opportunity to own a highly efficient UPS system and benefit from lower energy bills – and with lower captial expenditure.

“Riello UPS has worked incredibly hard to ensure our state-of-the-art Multi Sentry range meets the highest power useage effectiveness rating to meet UK Government energy standards and we now strive to deliver this across our complete product range.”

The Multi Sentry UPS range is ideal for power protection of critical operations and processes including data centres, IT networks and telecommunications systems.
